The Lhasa Apsos of Agnes Water

by Peppie

Woof!  OK, we have that out of the way.  Let me now get you into the right thinking frame for your adventure through our Home Page.  We are Lhasa Apsos. We are dogs (female variety - so think the B word, just don't say it). I (being Peppie the Perfect Puppy - aged 15 years and one month) am the Senior Pup and then there is Coco The Intruder, incredibly junior in rank, who arrived yesterday.

It is acceptable that Coco The Intruder will become a beloved member of the family.  However, Hear Ye Hear Ye - I will not allow it to happen without giving the lass as much stick as a loving gentle open hearted Lhasa Apso is spiritually permitted to inflict. Just so you have us sorted, I have exquisite manners, for example I do not eat in bed, not even on my day bed.  I carefully place my bone in the day bed, that is true.  But I stay on the deck. See Photo in the side column.

On the other hand, this newcomer Coco TI lies about most inelegantly - I will probably have to advise her on ladylike deportment issues as the days progress - sigh. Oops - I think the Revered Mother aka RM cometh and plans to add some meaningful though alien dialogue to our page.  Over and Out (I was Snoopy in a previous life)

<enter RM> Greetings from the Mother of Peppie and Coco! I just know any visitor would love to see this portrait of our lclose up of Cocoittle muckle  (look up the meaning of this wonderful Scots word) Coco whose hair is like chinchilla-

May I be self-indulgent and reprint my email of today to The Breeder, Janet, of The Animal House of our Coco and four other truly gorgeous litter pups:

Dear Janet, we really do want to thank you for creating and raising with such love our Coco.

 She is an absolute joy.

Only issue we have had was the stairs which she declared she did not do.  However ‘New Mummy’ showed her once and then when I went ahead she just followed and all stair challenges become past issues.

She is eating and drinking without any issues, she went for a little walk on lead this morning after breakfast and we had no problem.  Then home she came and did her first ‘necessaries’ on the back garden lawn – again with no request for newspaper. She waited her turn whilst Peppie was groomed and then stood proud and tall and enjoyed her turn. She slept in her very own new bed beside my bedside table and settled in very quickly with a few toys and the occasionally tummy rub – no crying or yelping so that was a real blessing as didn’t want her to be unhappy.

Tom and I just love her already and we feel confident that Peppie’s great heart will quickly overcome her fear that Coco is stealing her Daddy.  But they exchange brief kisses so all will be well.

 Cheers
